Where Else But in Business School?
Well, I guess I was a little off with my Super Bowl prediction. It must be my West Coast bias.
This is going to be a pitifully short post given how long it's been, but the end of the quarter is coming and the work is piling up.
Today my classes included visits from Brent Jones, former TE for the 49ers and four time Pro Bowl selection and Ron Zarella, Chairman and CEO of Bausch and Lomb. Both were great speakers and very energetic.
Jones talked about a wide range of topics on the NFL, including his thoughts on the collective bargaining negotiations and what the Texans should do with their pick (as attractive as Bush is - try to trade down). He thinks David Carr is a great QB that's just had a slower development because of all the sacks and Andre Johnson and Domanick Davis have top-flight potential as well.
Zarella taught a case on a sales reorganization that happened shortly after he joined the company and walked the class through the rationale, what happened and some of his thoughts on leadership and management.
